Sudbury Horticultural Society Garden Tour 2018

The Rockview Tower Community Garden group were pleased to show off their accomplishments through the Sudbury Horticultural Society Garden Tour 2018 on Saturday & Sunday July 21^st & 22^nd.  We were pleased to be one of eight gardens indicated in the Passport to the ‘Sudbury in Bloom’ open garden weekend!

Those who found their way to our community garden were pleasantly surprised to find our flourishing gardens.  Around 200 visitors joined us over the weekend!  We received many kind comments on our project. We also learned from the many very experienced people we talked with. It was a great weekend and even the weather co-operated.

We were so lucky to have such an experienced tour guide to help out with directions!

There are many people who have worked very hard to build and prepare the gardens. Somehow, over the weekend one of these four members always managed to be available to help with answering many of the numerous questions.

The Beauty of a Garden in the Summertime

If you have not had the opportunity to visit the gardens right in our own backyard, I would encourage it....you are in for a visual treat! 

Some of the recent visitors enjoying the beauty and hard work of the people involved.

There is the beauty of flowers recently planted and blooming in many colours.

And then there is the beauty of the vegetables of which I am sure we have many different varieties!

So the next afternoon you are sitting around wondering what you are going to do.....come down to the garden and visit with Sue, Dale, Don and Marilyn who have work so hard to do this for all of us!
